Frost Poems Over-Analyzed?

[Alt Van Gogh]

Here will be an ongoing analysis of the Frost Poems on this site. New thoughts will be added as they occur with little consideration for detail, accuracy or clarity. Please enjoy.

Stopping by Woods on A Snowy Evening
This is a poem about how it's better to be dead than freezing your ass off in Vermont.
“Out, Out—”
“...And they, since they
Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs.”
This theme of people “turning away” is also expressed very well in Vittorio de Sica's other film, Umberto D.

But before you get too upset with those people who "turned to their affairs," please consider the role of dissociation as an important defense mechanism.
Come In
"...I would not come in.
I meant not even if asked;
And I hadn't been."
This is a poem about my relationship with the establishment.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
This is a poem about this weekend's two day blowout sale at Tiffany's. All gold jewelry must move by Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!
