I have a little story that you might be interested in.  Last year I went to a lecture here in London about Four Quartets and Mrs. Valerie Eliot was there, looking absolutely vibrant and lovely in a bright orange cardigan.  I had what I consider to be a rare and fortunate opportunity to speak to her for a few moments and she was very gracious and kind to me.  I know she has a reputation for being very protective of her husband's work.  In fact I have in my own possession a letter from Faber and Faber telling me that I would not be allowed to use any portion of Four Quartets in my screenplay - but I wasn't going to tell her that - it was irrelevant at that moment and it's not like she would have been able to change anything. I just thought you might like to know.
