Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing on behalf of Faber and Faber, the UK publishers of the works of T S Eliot. It has come to our attention that the web site at: http://www.coldbacon.com/poems/eliot.html which you apparently maintain, has posted, in their entirety, a number of the copyrighted works of T S Eliot.

You may not be aware that Faber and Faber and Harcourt Brace, T S Eliot's US publisher, hold the exclusive rights to these works, and have not authorised any such reproduction in electronic and audio form. Thus, your posting of the copyrighted works constitutes an infringement of the publishers' exclusive rights under copyright. This copyright infringement, while perhaps a result of lack of awareness of the copyright law, violates the rights of the author's estate and publishers to determine how and whether these works will be exploited in the electronic environment.

While we are certainly in favour of promoting study of the works of T S Eliot, we must also be vigilant in protecting our and our authors' intellectual property rights. We trust that you will discontinue this infringing activity immediately.

Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this matter.

Yours sincerely

Sally
