Subject: Killer's Kiss (1955) - Stanley Kubrick

after you left i couldn't help but watch that same film i gave you, "killer's kiss." my curiosity got the best of me. anyway, it's okay. it's kind of weird, a little clumsy, kind of like an odd, quirky B+ film noir. you can definitely see flashes of kubrick's greatness (in terms of camera work, shots, certain actions things, up close, far, everything). clearly, it's not a masterpiece or anything. but there is a very strong emotional/stylistic stamp on it. definitely worth the 60 mins (it's only like 60 mins). Note: the female lead is propably the worst actress i have ever seen in a real film. Seriously.

Think of: Touch of Evil, Sam Fuller, Kubrick's other early work (The Killing), and probably other contemporary film noir.
