Question: Why is this film not as talked about as Withnail and I? It has Richard Grant?

Okay. Now I’ve finished the film. Bottom line. Bruce Robinson’s direction is superb. And so is Richard Grant. Just a superb actor. He lights up the screen, and I could watch him in anything. But here, in this film, unlike Withnail and I, the rest of the cast and screenplay sadly don’t amount to much more than B+. Could somebody please die, leave me in charge, and let me give Mr. Robinson (and Mr. Grant) something better to work with. Cause I’ll do it.
