In 2007, the groupdraw project got started because I wanted to have different people drawing together at the same time. I found a java whiteboard/groupboard service that worked. The usual crowd was keen, new people came along and contributed. These pages show some of this history. After 2007, attention to this (and in fact all) parts of the website has mostly stopped. The drawboard itself does live on, however. New background images. Videos. Inspiration from new visitors. All still happen. But Facebook, Flickr, Youtube are the current portals for sharing. I stopped spending as much time maintaining the actual website. I just haven't had the time these last years. The original crowd has now largely disbanded. Outgrown the sandbox. Maybe. I am trying to go back and catalog drawings from 2007-present on vimeo (youtube is just awful). I will put them up with as little interference as possible. A catalog of a certain place in time.
