I can't remember if I've sent you this before, but what I want to know is, why is this cute?  I mean, why is it special cute?  It's definitely cuter than if his little hands were in a more natural catlike position.  Why are the hands upturned like that more cute?  And do you think it's cuter to us, in America, than it would be to a Japanese?  Because we think the straw matting and rice paper windows are all exoticized?  Especially in contrast to the cat, which is clearly a common tabby and not something really spiffy like a tiger?  Would a tiger sleeping like that also be cute?  Or would it make our brains short out?
