i agree w/ everything you've just said but my javascript command for stopping the sound using an image button funnily only works on IE and not Firefox (at least not Firefox on PC). and also i really like for there to be music in the background without any visual interference. you don’t have sound control knobs at the movies?
and furthermore, such changes would require my HAND DOING about 1000 pages which have music. let me repeat, that's HAND DOING.
no.
but what i will do... is make a fuss about it up front -- as i do -- in order to at least WARN people.
i figure with specs.html and the next page BOTH providing SOME warning...
at least people will not HATE me. or at least not AS MUCH.
until someone invents a simple embed command which responds to the STOP button on a browser (as did <bgsound>, which was great in retroevaluation), we are stuck.
i can however -- using a little program -- change ALL pages to NOT autostart...
but then nothing would ever happen. by itself i mean.
but i could do that. at least if it would, like, be necessary, to prevent some world war or something. it's nice to know that option is there.
