I agree, but specifically I refer to sounds accompanying blog posts.  When I'm reading things I generally don't like to listen to music at the same time; makes it hard to concentrate.  I don't mind the music on pages/sites that don't have a lot of text; often, in fact, it's very nice, even if I have no control over it.
